strep g

Hi, my burmese queens  last litter was a disaster, she gave birth to 5 babies on the thursday, and another 3 2 days later, by the next day only one kitten was alive, they all had breathing problems and dies rapidly, I have been advised that it may have been due to a strep g infection in my queen, do you have any knowledge of this condition and possible treatment

Antibiotics are used to fight it mainly in the queen during before pregnancy and possibly at the end of the pregnancy.
