Question
Hello I have recently found a painted turtle and it looks like an adult but its only about 4 inches and i don't know what to feed this turtle what do u think i should feed it.

Answer
Hatchling turtles prefer live foods, especially live blackworms.  At 4" long, the turtle you have is a young juvenile but can still be treated in many ways like a hatchling.  I have hatchling care information on my web site at http://www.fishpondinfo.com/turtles/hatchling.htm
I suggest feeding live blackworms, mealworms, small crickets, fruits (grapes, apple, etc.), vegetables (kale, shredded carrot, etc.), and a variety of commercial turtle pellets.  Read over my web site for a lot more information.  Good luck!
