White Bugs?!

Question
reguarding this question, i have the same problem, and i need help.
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Freshwater-Aquarium-3216/tiny-white-bugs.htm
first of all it's a bullfrog. therefore having a land/water tank that's why i see them out of the water such as user in the link.
i know the ones i have are the same as the ones you see in some soil, such as houseplants. i know how to get rid of them in plants, but not what to use for a frog.
they're tiny tiny white bugs, almost look like lice, normally in a plant you only notice them if you water and look really closely. they're that small, but they do a lot of damage to a frog as i've found. i cannot find the name of them, but basically doesn't matter since they need to be gone no matter what.

when i got him (bullfrog) i had set up a 50 gallon, 3/4 land with waterfall filter. not thinking i bought some houseplants to put on the land side. just buried the pots in the gravel.
after a bit he was crawling with these things. i removed the plants of course, it got really terrible anyways and it took quite some time to remove them.
they made sores on him even! so gross.

they've been gone for over 2 years and now i see tonight they are back on him. i have no live plants at all, but i feed him worms and feederfish. now they have to be from the worms even though i keep them in worm bedding, but at some point they are in soil before i get them.

i'm putting rich.id+ in the water as i did before, but if there's anything faster that i can use safe for a frog.
if you aren't sure but know where to direct me?

Answer
Hi Kathy;

Wow, that sounds nasty! As you know, it's hard to treat for such things with a frog. Frogs are so sensitive and absorb chemicals and medicines into their skin very easily. All the information I have read about it is the same as it was when I kept them myself. There isn't anything safe to use so you have to just clean the enclosure out to get rid of them. You might ask one of the experts here;

Or post to a forum at sites like this;

Good luck.....
