Tank Care for Cichlids

Question
I have a 150 gallon tank with 15 clichlids and 2 algae eaters...My fish gasping for air and I change 1/3 of the tank last night and today I smell that amonia smell again...I am a beginner and I don't know what to do...Help

Hi SAL,
 What kind of filter do you have on the tank and how long has the tank been running?

 Do you have an airstone going into the tank (you need one)?
