new Jack Dempsey

Hi! I just got a Jack Dempsey Cichlid yesterday, and he wont eat anything. I've been feeding him Tropical Fish Flakes, and he wont touch them.  He'll approach them, and then flee.  What should I do?

Hi Rachel,
 Keep trying. It may take him days or even a week or more before he wants to eat the new food.  Be sure to remove any uneaten food from his tank, otherwise it will rot and that will foul the water.
