Hi,
  I would like to know if these fish eat spinach leaves?

Hi Brendon,
He might eat it, blanch it first so that it is a little softer.  Put it in at night when you close your lights.  If it is still there in the morning, remove it, and throw it away.  Sometimes plecos take a few weeks or months to get use to new food.  This doesn't replace his wafers or shrimp pellets, so make sure he gets his usual food everyday.  You could also try cucumbers, and zucchini sliced.  There is no preparation for the cucumbers or zucchini.  Most plecos love this.  Buy the cucumbers with no seeds in them if you can.  Stick a plastic fork in them to hold them to the bottom of the tank.  I find that this works well.  You could also try holding them down with a rock.  Always feed them at night when the lights are out.  Plecos are active at night.
