Cockatiel..moody...and unwilling to play!

hey...I have a 11 month old cockatiel and I have some behavior questions. Besides her little atitude "issues" she is very sweet already layed 4 eggs. Most of the promblem is shes very fussy anf when I go to pet her or perch her on my finger she screachs/screams adn bites at my hand at sometimes. The only way I get her to stop if I leave her alone for awhile but that never lasts! How do I cure this(train)?

 She is a really big perch ptatoe and it is very hard to play with her and she don't play w/ toys too much. I know with her personality she is playful but shes just not showing it shes always moody and sits on my sholder constantly. I'd love her how she is but I'd love some tips on how I can interact/play with her more/better and cure these behavior promblems...and otherwise she is perfectly healthy! Thanx!

first, I would like to apologize for taking o long to reply. I had a death in the family so my vacation was extended several dys and I did not get back home till last night.

As to your question, I would like to ask what you did with the eggs? Did you remove them right away or leave them in her cage? In either case egg laying can have a huge result on your teils behaviour making her crankier then usual. I have two teils one plays with toys a little more than the other but nothing like my conure try hanging simple toys like a strand of beads to attract her. It is great you let her snuggle on your shoulder. Although some will disagree with me as there is always an exception my teils would much rather hang out and watch whats going on than activley play with toys.
