QuestionI am interested in buying a horse. I want it to have a good temperament, not to startle easily, have a smooth gait and also to be able to jump. What breed do you think would be right for me?
Thanks so much,
Emily
AnswerDear Emily,
Warmblood horses are great for jumping but some of them can be very tempermental. Tempermant comes from training, and the parents of the horse. Look around as much as you can, at differnat breeds and differant horses, Take a look at warmbloods, Thoroughbreds, quarter horses, arabian, or arabian half, appaloosa's, and gaited horses. Gaited horses however are not good for jumping although they have good temper and great gaits.
