Question
What's your opinion on polyglycan injections, and what type of protocol would you suggest for using them?

Answer
Shawna:

I do not utilize polyglycan as it is not labeled for IV use. There is liability in that for me to advocate its use in an unlabled manner. Most people are using this drug as a substitute for Adequan and Legend. There is no evidence that this drug will or can provide the same benefits as Adequan and Legend. that said, I do know of a number of people who do use it and appear to be happy with it. I might suggest if you were to use such a product that is lableled for IV use, Id give it for 5 to 7 consecutive days then every 2 to 4 weeks thereafter in order to support joint health. I will continue to utilize and advocate Legend and Adequan instad of this particular product though. Im sorry to be elusive in the answer, but it is truthful and necessary in my opinion. Best of luck to you and your horses.
