Question

yearlings tied to post
hello madam. in thoroughbred farms, foals when they turn into young yearlings are tied to a post. they say its a kind of training. i didn't understand, please explain me madam, how does tying to a post help the yearling in future???

Answer
it teaches them to learn to tie. if a horse does not know this then they will pull back as soon as they feel pressure and they will freak out and injure themselves or break the rope. at this age they are small enough to not break anything and they will learn to stand their and not pull back and freak out. it is very important.
