Question
QUESTION: Hi Sandra,

I bought 2 female rats and at the moment they are around 4 months old. One of the rats keeps on biting everyone in my family on the foot, except me.

The other rat is a P.E.W (pink eyed white). Sometimes this rat sways side to side before she takes a few steps, almost as if she is trying to focus her vision. Is she going blind? And is this normal in P.E.W's

Thanks,
      Mackenzie

ANSWER: Hi Mackenzie

Does the rat that bites feet bite anywhere else?  My rats bite my toes when I have socks on, and I have heard alot of people say this too. They must think its a little critter in the sock.  However, is she aggressive any other time?

As for the White girl and her head sway, I think you will be very interested in what I say about this on my website, please check it out and let me know what you think:

She isnt going blind...but please refer to the URL below:

QUESTION: Thankyou you helped me a lot and yes we did have socks on when she bit.

Answer
Did you see the video of the little head swaying rat?  I think its ADORABLE!

As for the toe biting, you never said if she bit anyone anywhere else or if it just the toes?  If so, that is just why she is doing it....she is attacking the toes in the socks thinking they are little critters and  are predators too (in the wild) so your rat is just having fun acting out using her wild instincts.  LOL!
