Question
dear sir/madam,

i would like to find out how mice pups are born. is it head first or tail first? also as the pups are coming out is the mother supposed to be moving around or should she be keeping still?

Answer
I'm pretty sure it's head first, but it's pretty hard to see becuase the mother pulls them out quite fast. The mother will move around up until the final push where you will see her straining to give birth to the pup. As soon as it's head comes out she pulls the rest of it out and cleans it while she waits for the next pup to be born. They're born about 30 seconds to a minute apart but sometimes the wait is longer, it all depends on the mouse. Hope that helps.
