Light for night use.

Question
I currently have a 75w Exo Terra Night-Glo moonlight bulb and I need to know if it can be used for my 2 Iguana's without harming their eyes, ect. I am 100% aware that it will not provide the needed amount of heat I would just like to know if it can be used for "night time viewing" for example.  On the following page you can see the 75w bulbs info.

HERE ---->  http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/night_heat_lamp.php

ANY information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Chris

Answer
The "moonlight" bulbs are fine but... iguanas generally do prefer to have complete darkness.  Even though the lights say they can't see them, they can and it can stress them out.  Some are fine with them, some aren't so I always recommend using a ceramic heat emitter or heat projector for night time heat.  They produce no light at all and last on average 5 years vs the month or less than the  so called Night lights last. If you do use the night light, pay close attention as to if your iguana is trying to hide from the light at night....if yes, then it is stressing your ig out and I recomend not using it... also, if he acts differently during the day ..again stop using it.
