QuestionHello, I am getting a few ferrets later this year I am wondering thou can I get one at a time? I'd be getting them no more then a month or two apart would this work? they'd all be from a pet-store they'd all be between 8 & 12 weeks of age, also I've put together a basic supply list please tell me if I am missing anything...
Quality kitten food,
Cat/ferret/homemade toys,
hammocks,
Food dish/water bottle,
litter pan or two,
Shampoo, nail clippers, q-tips & septic powder, is this ok? are there any extras I should get?
Thank you for your help.
AnswerHello, Thank you for your question. That should be just fine to get them a couple months apart. The only time people seem to have trouble is with an established ferret over a year or so old. They are a lot like cats, and kittens tend to be thrilled to have another kitten to play with.
Your list looks good, but you will need a nice two story cage. I recommend one with full middle floor, not the "shelf" type floors.
I would also suggest getting a good book called
"Ferrets for Dummies" by Kim Shilling.
Good luck with your new fuzzies!
