Rusty seems very sad !

Hello. We have two Ferrets Alvin 5years old and Rusty 3does years old.They get along very good. We just got another Ferret 2days ago she is only about 10-12 weeks old. A very happy little cuty! Alvin likes her and accepts her but Rusty does not even want to look at her and avoids her completely and when we put them in the same room/area he even walks funny! very slow ,like he is tiptoing away! is this normal? he seems very unhappy!

It may just take time.  They are not fighting and Alvin seems to be Ok with her, so just give it some time.  Rusty may take a while to warm up to the new ferret especially if she is very energetic, which is why he is being careful - trying not to encourage her to chase him!
