Question
We have a very nice cocker spaniel,Badger, his smell is enough to knock you off your feet. Bathing will be good for about a week and then the smell returns. What can be done? Thanks, have cloths pin in hand.  Rich and Sharie

Answer
A healthy dog, eating a good food, and being brushed regularly shouldn't have an odor problem with no more than infrequent baths.  Have you discussed the problem with your vet?  Are most of his calories coming from a commercial dry kibble.

The one other cause of odor is rolling in stinky things including his own feces.  Keep his relief area cleaned up and don't let him run loose where there is other stuff.
