Can or Dry Food for Cockers

Question
Hi, I've seen it recommended to feed your cocker spaniel premium canned food.  Why is the canned food better than dry food?  I'm adopting a 2 year old cocker from a local shelter and I want to make sure I start her on the right food diet.  I'm sure she's never had quality food.

Answer
Hi I am n o expert on feeding i can only give my opinion on this subject so it is not law. I used to feed my Cocker female who is now 3 on Bakers complete, she started on the puppy formula and then went on to adult this was a dry food. I have since found out that Bakers contain a lot of additives and colouring, so I have changed Lucy to James Wellbeloved which i must say is absolutely excellent, her motions no longer smell and are much firmer, again this is a dry food which i much prefer, plus i think its better for the dog as it helps their teeth with crunching, the only thing i found with tinned food when on the odd occasion i have fed her it, her motions are very soft and not easy to pick up, so i stick with dried, but i will highly recommend James Wellbeloved and Pets at Home stock it.
And congratulations on your new arrival and well done for taking in a rescue, the country needs more people like you, you should be very proud.
Best of luck and best wishes
Kathy
