Question
Savannah about 4 months ago started sneezing violently. It lasted off and on for about a month or so. I really thought it was allergies, especially since it subsided. Then one day she seemed to be losing her balance on a slippery floor if she were to get up and check what was on the counter. All the while everything else was normal. About one and a half months ago she started tilting her head and seemed to be in pain. She saw the vet the same day and they thought maybe an inner ear problem and treated her with antibiotics and pain meds. She felt better however the head tilt and balance continued. I did not like how her head seemed to look a little flatter on one side so IL took her back to the vet. They said it could be a brain related tumor. At this point she is now circling, especially when she goes out to go to the bathroom. All the while she is eating great, but is relluctant to play. Savannah had her x-ray on 9-11-07 under anesthesia. Everything got worse, they upped her steroids which she had been on a regimine of and at that point was on a very low dose. That definitly helped. All the while she still mooches and eats great. Sshe is not herself I know that,I just do not know what to do. I will not put her through an operation on her skull, she is almost 9 years old. The sad part is she was like a puppy until this started. Anything short of brain surgery will be considered if it could help.
Savannah has a brother Rocco and yes they are neutered and have never mated. Bought our first boxer 17 years ago and were hooked.

Answer
Hi Rosita,

I'm sorry, but what is your question?  I understand that she's  not healthy right now but I don't see in your post what you're asking me.

Does she or does she not have a brain tumor?  What did her x-rays show?

With something this serious, whether you like/trust your vet or not, I would go and get a second opinion.

If you can get an exact diagnosis, or tell me what that diagnosis is, I could better tell you what you may be able to do to make her more comfortable if that is your question?
