QuestionI bought a lovely Male bichon frise who is nearly 7 months old (I named him Teddy Bear, Teddy for short!!);-)from a lady i met online, she gave me all his papers and everything, but now that i have brought him home, he pees everywhere, really fussy with his food, only wants to eat what i eat, and another thing i noticed, was the fact he is not used to being on a lead, the previous owners obviously did not take care him of him very well, as he has had no training of any kind, he is really scared being on the lead, and if i try and walk with him on the lead, he just lies down and i have drag him, which makes me feel so bad.
He does not know any basic commands and i'm worried as he is already nearly 7 months that he will never listen to me , have i lost him already?....
If anyone has any have any sugestions or helpful training tips i would be really greatful!!

this will all take time, he has had 7 months poor ownership, lead training will be relatively easy and firstly you must look to crate train him, this will resolve two problems, his manners and his tot training.
Food should be simply down to routine and that is up to you.
Place f down at specific times that suits you not him, if he eats them great , if not remove after 20 mins and refrigerate then set out again 3 hours later,
Trust me NO dog will starve themselves willingly.
Go back to basics and take out his bad behaviour with posite reinforcement, any owner that has to resort to violence simply does not understand dogs, going back to basics you will encourage bonding and training will be easier.
I do not believe that a bichon can say hey Im gonna pee and poop wherever, any breeder that says they are hard to train shouldnt breed as they dont know dogs.
