Black Lab Puppy Excessive Nipping

Question
Last week my husband and I picked up our 9 week old black lab.  She is so cute and we love her dearly but her nipping seems like it may be a bit excessive.  She has actually caused people to bleed.  She will nip everyone and everything in her path.   When she begins to nip we say "no chew", spray whatever she is nipping at with Bitter Apple and automatically supplement what she is chewing on with a Nylabone or a ball.  We give her plenty of attention so I don't think it is the attention that she is looking for.  I know all pups chews and labs are chewers but do you have any other suggestions to help with this.  I read about using hot sauce but I am afraid it will hurt her or make her sick.

Answer
Hi Annie,

I'm not a big fan of hot sauce. It can go up her nose or in her eyes. At 9 weeks it is annoying and yes Lab puppies are particularly oral. Try removing her when she gets to mouthy, with something to do with that mouth. It will pass, I swear!
