My rescue dog does not like my BF

I have adapted a rescue dog and since she came home with me, she does not like my boyfriend at all. She avoids him and does not even get closer to him. She is fine with other strangers except him. My friend told me to be careful with him because dogs can tell who is good and bad. Is that true?

I wouldn't say that dogs know who's good and bad, but they DO have a way of sensing people's emotional states. So there may be something she finds unsettling about your boyfriend's emotions.
