blanket dragging

Question
hi there! thanks for taking my question. I am very curious about this and haven't found any feedback online. My cat seems to wake from her bed-naps rather abruptly sometimes and proceed to drag (via her mouth) the blanket/sheet/bed-cover from the bed down to the floor at which point she just stops and returns to "normal" behavior. It almost seems like she might be half dreaming (not unlike human reactions after waking up from deep sleep). Any idea what this behavior is all about? Thanks again

Answer
Hello Jimmy!

Have you noticed her twitching in her sleep prior to this behaviour, or is it everytime when she wakes that she does this?

If she's twitching in her sleep beforehand, it is most likely that she was dreaming about chasing something and woke up, and while still asleep, was dragging away her "kill" to eat it.

You say it's almost as if she might be half-dreaming...does this mean that she's not having any eye contact with you when she does this?

Let me know, and I should be able to help you figure this out.  Either way, sounds kinda cute!  :o)

Hugs to you both!
