cat wont eat

Hello,
   My boyfriend has a cat that is 17 years old and she will not eat, all she wants to do is drink water all the time, why is that??

The cat needs to go to the vet right away. At 17 years old she is 84 years old in human years and can have any number of old-age related problems.
