Is my cat in heat

My cat is about 1 year old.  She moving around strangely not stand up squatting down with her butt in the air.  Is she in heat.  She's also crying a lot more than usual

Yes, she is most certainly in heat.  Now would be a good time to get her spayed.

Besides the crying,and posturing, females in heat often pee where they are not supposed to on things that can be ruined.  Sometimes they squat and sometimes they just rear up and let go against something (like curtains or a couch, e.g.).

Yes, it is time to get her spayed.
