Question
QUESTION: hello,
i have had my cat since February, she is now 6 months old.
when i first bring her home she wouldn't let me touch her or go near her only at night and she seems to be playful and hyper all day and she hardly sleeps during the night either i thought at first she was just scared of me because she didn't know where she was but she is still like it she wont go near anyone and you try and touch her she will run away unless you have food with you, at first i thought she might have been traumatized by people in the past and cant trust them but shes very affectionate at night is it possible she could have ADHD or something like that and who do i talk to or see to try and help her?
many thanks

ANSWER: Sounds like you just have an energetic kitten on your hands. If you want to try to socialize her a little more, I suggest getting some tasty treats for her, and putting them in your hand. Get her attention on the treat, let her have it, then pet her a bit.

Be aware that some cats are just funny this way, and you will have to live with her on her terms.

No, your cat does not have ADHD. She's a young cat with energy and personality. There really isn't any help other than some treat/socialization training, as described above.

Good luck!

QUESTION: well i have 3 other cats so she is well soalized. and i got told to hold her and when she carms down give her a treat but it doesnt seem to work. im hopeing to get a litter or two out of her is it possible to do so because my family say that on one will want a cat they cant touch?

Answer
I wouldn't recommend breeding a flighty or panicky mannered cat. Even though, with appropriate socialization, the kittens could potentially be very different from the Queen personality wise, the Queen herself would not make a good mother.

Panicked cats, or anti-social cats, who are forced to have a litter often terminate that litter at birth because they do not trust their surroundings.
