Dear Jessica,
my cat delivered 2 dead babies 4 days ago,she is 1 year old.but since then she is so aggitate and has vaginal bleeding,also 2 of her nipples are swelling.would you please help me figure out her problem?

AnswerHi Nina. I'm sorry to hear this. It sounds like your kitty probably has some more kittens that have not been delivered, or that she has damaged some tissue during delivery. If this is true, the only way to save her life is to have a veterinarian take care of her. Most likely, they would need to perform a surgery to remove her uterus and any kittens that remain. If any tissue is damaged that cannot be removed, the vet would need to try to repair it to stop the bleeding.
Her nipples are probably swelling because her body was preparing to feed the kittens, and now no kittens are feeding. Swelling is normal but can sometimes result in an infection called mastitis. This is the least of her worries right now, but if she sees a veterinarian, he will probably give her an antibiotic. This should help clear up any mastitis she may be suffering.
