fantail fish injury-help!

My fantail fish (7") somehow got stuck to the pump and hence part of his fantail was shredded off. I'm not sure how long he was there but when I saw him yesterday I pulled the pump and he swam off. Then he went to a quiet part of the pond and just sat there ever since. What can I do for this guy? I removed him from my 700 gal pond to a seperate tank...now what?

I'm sorry about your fantail. I've had similar things happen to fantails in my aquarium years ago.  For future prevention, you'll want to make a pre-filter around the pump.  I wrap filter material around my pump and set it into a pond plant basket with holes.  If you want more details, let me know.
