Water lily/Angel fish

Question
Hello,
I know that this question isn't specifically related to ponds but there are no experts in the fresh water plant category and you seem to be most qualified.
I want to put a water lily in a vase and have an angel fish in it as well. I was wondering if that would be possible. Would the fish and the lily be healthy? Could you give me advice on how to transplant a water lily into a vase and proper care for it? I know that this may not be your area of expertise but I appreciate any advice you can give me.
Thanks!

Answer
Dear Mitch,

Thank you for your question.
It is indeed not my area of expertise however after some research I think it should be possible.
The way to go I did not find out, however my personal way to go should be in this case to first add the lily to the vase with the same water.
Then after some days always adding some water (best way is to use dechlorinated water, product to make safe "pond" water should also be available in pondstores).
Then I would add some of the vase water also to the fish water and systematically get the same water for both.
Then I would add the fish.
I can not guarantee this would work due to the fact I do not know exactly this type of fish.
However getting water correct is in my area the most important to start.
Same chemistry and temperature together with time and stress free should be the start.
Hope this helps.
Good luck and keep me posted on how you choose to ho further.

Kind regards,
Raf
