Question
Do you know approximately how big shubunkin fry should be before they are released into the pond with the adults without the risk of them being eaten!?

Answer
It depends on what animals and predators are in the pond and how safe you want the babies to be.  In general, if you want them to be safe from foot-long goldfish, the babies should be at least an inch long with tail.  By the time they are 2 inches, they should definitely safe from being eaten by most standard pond fish.  If you are unsure, try returning just some of the babies to the pond and see how they do for a week before adding the rest.  I only have one shubunkin left so you are very lucky!  Good luck!
