Koi fish missing

I have a 60 gallon fish pond with 3 Koi fish. I have had them over a year. I just found out 1 of the fish are missing. What do you think could of happened?

Hi Kay:  Depending on the size of the fish anything from a neighborhood cat, raccoon, opossum, or even a heron could have taken the koi.  If you have plants, etc near the pond you can check in there because koi are great jumpers and it may have jumped out and died.  How big was the koi?   dave
