QuestionHi Chris, My tank is 55 gl.-PH is 7.0-ammonia is 0-nitrite 0
Tank has been up for 3 years now. I did a water change
yesterday and when I got up this morning one of my 2 bala
sharks was like doing summersalts and swimming upside
down. She is gaping at the surface sometimes and resting
at the bottom nose down at times, I haven't seen her swim
any other way then upside down. I had a shubunkin do this
about a year ago and it died in 3 days after symptoms
started so I don't hold a lot of hope but thought maybe you
could help me out here and save her. Any help would be
greatly appreciated! Steve
AnswerHi Steve;
I don't know what to do in these cases except wait. It is possible she went into shock after the water change. That happens sometimes. Or, she had a brain or heart defect of some kind that is now flared up for some reason. Keep the tank dark for a day or so and see if she calms down enough to relax and at least keep from hurting herself further.
Hope she feels better....Wish I had a better answer for you........
