Hi I got my parrots at 3 years old my two birds Columbia and blue have to stay together they cant be seperated. Are they able to talk these type of birds? An they wake up at 5 in the morning and start skawing so loud that you can here them next door. Plus we have a sheet over them they are even nasty I cant pet them or put my finger near them they bit me once and made a deep wound I am okay though My dad's girlfriend hates them she goes can we put them in the frier and makes it as a funny bird joke lol I love them, dearly but they had a sad past their old owner was abusive the recent owner adopted them and gave them to me as a gift that is how I ended up with them. I am 20 now. and they live with my dad. He loves them and plays with them do you have any tips on how or why they are mean and bite? How can I gain control I wont hurt them I love them so much but they dont understand what can I do. help! thanks

yes they can learn to talk. For getting them to trust you. you may have to have your dad help you as you said he plays with them, try having your dad take them out and have him put the bird on your hand just keep him on your hand for a little while each day and every day hold them a little longer also try treats. It may take awhile.
