bitless bridle

Question
we have a 3.5 yr old mustang that is doing good with a
d ring snaffle. we do not believe he likes the bit. he
fights it when we try to get vertical flexion. we saw your
answer regarding the bitless bridle. we both wondered if
the bitless would help. we have always wanted to ride
without a bit but not sure the best idea. if so, what
bitless bridle would you recommend? regarding vertical
flexion we would be open to any assistance. we have
been trying c.anderson and he does not respond. we have
been patient and persistent.

thanks and good riding-charles and ladonna wade

Answer
Dear Charles and Ladonna,
A english hackmore is better suited if you are wary about the bitless, but take it slow with him, he may not like it to much.
The english hackmore is more controling and better for starting out. The western hackmore is a looser fit and not reccomended for horses that are not in total control, or for horses who like to "go" through the bit.
Also try using differant bits, We have horses who have tried more then 100 types of bits before being comfortable. The good thing is that you have so many bits by the end of it that any horse you buy should take at least one.
No one said horses where easy. HAHA
