Question
Someone in my class has had 3 turtles, now he only has 1 left :(
Anyways his last poor turtle, has a rotting leg, is blind, and has a high fever :(
We'll see if we can save it  but even if we can't please answer to this comment because there's a possibility of him getting another one (but not cause he's mean but because the original home is much worse :()
So if you can say how to prevent turtles from getting sick and how to heal one like in his case please answer as soon as you can!!!!

Answer
Turtles cannot run fevers- it is physically impossible.

Without knowing the kind of turtle, the cares, etc. it is tough to offer any special advice. I would suggest you try the site http://www.austinsturtlepage.com for good care and diet info, and http://www.turtleforum.com for advice.

The thing is- turtles are not super easy pets. It takes a lot of work and/or money to get them happy and healthy.

Most turtles only want three things-

1. Good water. This means lots of clean, warm water. Figure about 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle shell length total. Warm the water with a good heater or two to 75-80F, and keep it clean with a powerful external filter and weekly partial water changes.

2. Good sun. Offer them a safe, warm perch to get totally dry on. Aim for something made from wood or plastic, big enough for all the turtles, that gets completely out of the water, and is heated from overhead to about 90F. It should be well-lit (but make sure the turtles still have dark hiding places in the tank.)

3. Good food. The easiest diet I know is about 1/2 good brand pellets and 1/2 live or frozen/thawed 'fish foods' like warms, insects, krill, shrimp, small fish, snails, etc. Different turtle species like different foods.
