pet rabbit hutch

Do you know anything you can put on the floor of a rabbit hutch that will protect the wood and make it easier to clean?. i.e a varnish. Something that would not harm the rabbits.

You can use a water based water sealer but it will take up to a month for the fumes to air out of the cage therefore the rabbits cant be in the cage until the smell is gone, you could try a coragated plastic pan or a stainless steel pan in the bottom, here is a link to what coragated plastic is and some ideas for indoor cages whitch can be modafied for rabbits; www.cavycages.com
