early rabbit death

Question
our rabbit nearly one year old, was perfectly happy yesterday, but died overnight. there was no sign of injury. he had regularly roamed free in the garden, and had done yesterday. we did discover some foxglove plants in the garden, could this be the cause?

Answer
Foxglove is poisonous, and most domestic rabbits do not know poisonous plants from safe ones. That could have been the case. However, there are many things that can cause sudden death with little to no signs of why the rabbit died. Were his feces any different than normal (smaller than normal, soft stools, etc(? Was he acting different at all? Was he eating or drinking more or less than usual?
