Feeding my pet rats

I have 2 female rats they are around 5 months old now,i was just wondering how much fresh fruit and veg i should be giving them daily, they have a complete meal in nugget form but they don't seem to eat that. How long should i leave this in there cage before throwing it away and giving them fresh

I keep their kibbled/pellet diet in their cage at all times and swap it out for fresh (even if they haven't eaten much) once a week. They should get fresh fruits and veggies intermittently, I prefer Mon/Wed/Friday sort of schedule and only offer them a few tablespoons at a time.

I also feed a modified grain diet, like something similar to the Suebee's Rat Mix (you can google that phrase for a recipe). That will help them be interested in their staple diet and give them something fun to eat in the meantime.
