eyes

Question
Have a pair of love birds for about 4 years.
Allow them daily freedom in a confined room.
This am male bird is unable to open eyes. Don't know what is going on.  Can you help me?
Called a local vet and waiting for reply.

There are so many things that this could be its hard to actually tell what it is without seeing the problem. It does sound quite serious though. You don't mention how he is feeling apart from his eyes? Are his feathers fluffed up? Does he actually have the strength to open his eyes? Try to get him to a vet asap and maybe bring the both of them incase its contagious and they both need treated. Good luck and let me know how you get on.
