QuestionI have a hamster recently I saw that her tail was kinda dirty and wet, you know. I know that dierria is a sympton of Wet Tail. But I don't if there was any in the cage because I just cleaned it so I didn't really see. Is this wet tail?

AnswerYes, diarrhea in hamsters is different. It is more like water and thats why it is called wet tail. You need to get her to a vets for some antibiotics to help clear it up. With all the hot weather if it is not cleared up you could put her at risk from 'fly strike' which is when the flies lay eggs around her tail and they hatch out and the maggots begin to eat at her flesh.
I have seen this in many rabbits that have come into my practice and twice in hamsters
