QuestionI noticed a couple patches of lost hair on my mouse and took it back to the pet store. They said it was ringworm. Will it pass it to the other mouse in the cage? What should I do and how should I treat it?
Thanks.
AnswerGo to a vet for treatment of ringworm. Do not handle the mouse, you can get it too, it is VERY contagious and yes, the other mice may get ringworm too. There is a pretty good chance of the lost patches of hair only being a food allergy or bedding allergy instead of ringworm. Ringworms don't usually infect such small hosts. I would take the mouse to the vet though.
