anoles

Question
Do you answers questions about Anoles? If so, I'm traveling in a couple days and i was wondering if i could take my Green Anole and Bahamana Anole with me. The trip is for 5 hours and i don't know what to do with them.  HELP?

Yes, you can travel with them..its better if you can find someone to come in to care for them though as it is less stressful on them. If they are housed together now, then traveling together as described below is fine..or you can place them in separate pillow cases(see below)
If you have to take them with you, the best way is to use a plastic container..one that is a bit larger than the plastic shoe boxes...line it with a wash cloth..use the hand warmer heat packs if necessary to place on part of the bottom of the container..be sure to cover the packs with another wash cloth... place the anoles in a zippered cloth pillowcase and place them in the container...poke or drill tons of holes on all the sides and the lid ...The zippered pillow case will help them to feel more secure while traveling. You will have to take along their other cage if possible...if its too large, you may want to think about getting a 10 gallon tank with a screen lid to house them in while you are away.  be sure to take your heat source and uvb source with you.  Of course you need to take their food!!!
