My dogs doesnt stop eating poop

Hello, how are you? I have a 2 year old Chihuahua named twinkles, and a 3 year old Chihuahua named luna, and 2 1 year old cats named star and sky. My dog twinkles has to be caged up when I'm not home or I'm sleeping due to the fact that i cant get her to stop eat all of the other animals poop. she eats her own while shes in the cage also. i have tried hot sauce like one vet told me too. i have tried meat tenderizer. i have tried something called forbid. nothing seems to work. can you please help me i don't want to have to give her away because of this problem. thank you so much:)

Did you use the forbid for every animal in the house, as she is eating everyone's everyone would need to be on it.  Long term problems, take a long time to break.  The use of products such as Forbid, require at minimum a month of use.

There are also, products such as stay away, which you can spray on all fecal matter and/or such products as No Chew sprays.

This is normally a puppy habit and disappears eventually.

Another consideration is the type of food you are feeding, usually a suggestion to switch to a higher quality of food is suggested.

Another consideration is also amounts being fed, is this particular dog eating well.  

Another is problems with teeth, gums/mouth, in that hard kibble is being fed and the dog finds it easier to eat soft food, when none is offered they eat the poop of another dog or re-eat their own, as it was /is painful to eat hard kibble.

Another is stress, which can effect behaviours of dogs and cats.

Some old wives tales, suggest adding Pumpkin, mint, garlic to dogs food in order to stop this habit.

Always check with your vet, as with such methods, there could be other issues resulting from following such tips.
