German Shephard? i was told that the puppy i am getting is a mix of German Shepherd and German police. What is the difference? are they in the same family? will this dog grow to look like a full German Shepherd?

There is a lot of sloppy terminology around. If you have checked around, you may not have found much on ''German Police dog''. Only the person that told you that can explain what they meant.

I see many very German Shepherd looking dogs I doubt are purebreds. It could be in mixes, they often look like full shepherds. I know Labs bred to another solid colored dog are hard to tell from purebreds. I don't see near as many known shepherd crosses.

Looking at the picture, I would say yes. It looks like the ears are already starting to stand. Even if they aren't fully erect for a while, some pure shepherds take a while even approaching a year in some cases.
