Question
We just purchased a bichon frise puppy and we are a little worried about her eyes.  You can see the whites in the corner of her eyes. Only a little bit on her right side, but then you can see a lot more white in the inside corner of her left eye.  The vet said her eyes were following good.  Is this ok??? We have bichons and can't see whites in any of their eyes. Is this a bad sign of anything???

Answer
Firstly how old is pup, suggest less than 12 weeks old.Eye conformation is all down to genetics. If mum or \dad or grandparents from either side showed some white , the chances of pup doing so will be greatly increased, unless this is due to either a tear duct issue or lazy eye then hey why worry, some dogs with this can be due to the muscle in that eye being weak whh can at some stage lead to  cherry eye, but until that happens I would not be concerned, even if cherry eye was to show itself, with a simple op its cured.

In the meantime I suggest at you simply play with the pup and enjoy it, by being anxious you will encourage poor training results.
