Nose Peeling

Question
I have a two year old female Australian Shepherd whose nose started to peel
about 6 months ago and our vet told me that she's allergic to the sun and
putting Indian Ink on her nose would help protect against the sun. Is there
anything else I can do?

It sounds like your vet has diagnosed your dog with what we often call "Collie nose".  It affects Collies, Shelties, Aussies, and other dogs that have unpigmented areas on their nose leathers.  Here's an article about it: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1592&articleid=412
Tattooing is the treatment of choice, but some owners choose to keep their dogs in shade or indoors.  Hard to avoid having an active dog out of the sun altogether, though.
