Question

Dog
We have a 5.5 month old male Aussie with digestive problems (soft/liquid stool) that our vet can't seem to figure out.
Background info:
-He came from the breeder at 8 weeks with 3 parasites that were taken care of within a short time with antibiotics.
-He has since had giardia again but was treated and has been doing well.
-Any time we feed him dry food his stool becomes soft/liquid. Even the dry food that our vet prescribed (Royal Canin low fat) causes problems.
-When given home-made food (chicken meat, chicken liver, rice, bell peppers and sweet potato) his stool is normal and he's happy.
-We have made roughly 5 trips to the vet to figure this out and between the vet fees and the multiple bags of food that he can't eat it's getting expensive!

We would like to feed him a high-quality dry or canned food. As great as it is to cook your dog food for each meal, it can be a hassle.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Answer
If he is truly parasite free, it may be that he has a food allergy or sensitivity.  You may want to try a grain-free prepared food just in case, since it sounds like he is fine when you cook grain-free for him.  Here's a link to a good site with info on some of the better brands:
