Litterbox problem

My female cat, who is about 2 years old started pooping outside the litterbox. (She doesn't pee outside though) She used to use the litterbox just fine. We have a 2nd cat and 2 litterboxes and we thought that she might not like to use the litterbox after the other cat already used it. But I totally scrubbed and cleaned it and put brandnew litter in it and she pooped in front of the litterbox even though it wasn't used yet at all. I'm using the same brand litter for a long time and she used to be fine with it. What's the problem?

It sounds like she is mad at you for something. What has changed in your household that she doesn't like? New people? New pets? Have you left her alone or in a kennel for a few days?
