cat lip

our cat has developed a fat lower lip. we noticed it about 7 to 10 days ago. it doesn't seem to hurt him. but it is swollen. it's not affecting his appetite nor is it affecting the teeth or jaw.  any advice would be appreciated.

I am not a vet, but it sure sounds as if he was bitten by something or got into something or may even have an abscess.  If it were my kitty, I would take him to the vet.  It may turn out to be nothing, but, after 7-10 days, the swelling should be substanmtially reduced or gone!!!!!
