How to Tell When a Rabbit Loves You. Rabbits are easy-to-care-for and affectionate pets. Supervision is required when first bringing a rabbit home. The rabbit will be spending plenty of time in its cage, so provide a comfortable place to rest by supplying a pet bed. Rabbits can roam the house freely when they're trained to use a litter box and taught not to chew on household items. Your rabbit will return your love when provided with a loving home, food and plenty of attention.

Step 1

Provide your bunny with food pellets, salt licks, straw, water and chew toys. Pet and groom it daily.

Step 2

Recognize your rabbit's signs of affection. A rabbit will show affection by rubbing its chin against you and marking you with its scent.

Step 3

Allow your rabbit to bump noses with you, which is a sign of love. It may also try to lick or groom you to show its affection.

Pet your rabbit to stimulate "teeth chattering." This signifies your bunny is content. Another sign of contentment is its lying on its back or side; this shows it trusts you.
