fish food koi mold

I have a large bag of southern state fish food that is half empty that i have fed my koi for a couple of years. The problem is that i have noticed that the fish food is starting to mold. Will this kill my fish? is there away to kill the mold and not trash the food? a high temperature or microwave it and let it cool?

Yes, absolutely, that fish food can harm or even kill your fish if they are desperate enough to eat it when it's bad.  Toss it right away.  Pond food should not be used for more than 6 months after getting it.  Not only can things grow in it but the vitamins (specifically A, D, E, and C) are basically degraded to nothing.

There is no way to salvage the food.  Do not risk your fish to save a few dollars.  Southern States foods are not high quality to begin with anyway.  Good luck.
